For my mom’s 70th birthday, she took our whole family on a trip to Portugal. We spent time in Cascais, Coimbra, Porto, and Lisbon.
We had many lovely meals…
Beautiful city scapes…
Encounters with public art…
Beach time…
Very random museums…
We loved the castles at Sintra (although everything was super crowded). In particular, we enjoyed exploring the grounds and grottoes
JC, the kids, and I went on a side trip to Evora, which has a chapel made of bones (!), a Roman temple, and beautiful gardens.
Of all the places we visited, Porto was our favorite.
We painted tiles in a workshop taught by an amazing artist!
AND my aunt and uncle came from England, and we went on a boat ride on the river, which was glorious.
All in all, our second trip to Portugal in a year (!) was very random, and very fun. We’d go again!
